Why did you decide to become a therapist?
I am an experienced and resilient professional with over 20 years of expertise in private practice, hospital settings, and allied health management. Throughout my career, I have embraced challenges and adapted effectively to changes. My strengths lie in exceptional communication skills and a personable, humble nature.
Currently, I am seeking to expand my working repertoire, eagerly taking on new responsibilities in educating and training adolescents and adults about mental health. I am passionate about providing counseling and mediation services within organisations and teaching valuable skills like assertiveness training, conflict resolution, and cognitive restructuring. Additionally, I am keen on working as a consultant in various settings.
With 15 years of experience as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Allied Health Manager in hospital settings, I have designed therapy programs and implemented group therapy for mood, post-traumatic, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I am also adept at delivering training and psycho-educational workshops for staff and family members, offering debriefing support after critical events.
Fluent in Greek, I have served the Greek community with dedication. My primary goal is to help individuals and their families understand the challenges faced by their loved ones and provide the necessary skills to support and promote recovery. My focus is on promoting positive self-esteem, resilience, and coping strategies, creating a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment tailored to each client’s unique needs.
With a PhD in the field of trauma, resilience, post-traumatic stress, and personality disorders, my dedication to continuous learning enhances my clinical work and deepens my insight and skills in helping individuals facing these conditions.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
As a kind and caring professional with a completed PhD, I am dedicated to helping clients navigate mental health challenges and promoting positive self-esteem and resilience. My warm and collaborative approach ensures tailored support for each individual. I am excited to take on new responsibilities, educating and training on mental health and providing counseling and mediation within organisations. Together, we can build a path to well-being.
What inspires you?
The opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives and empower them to overcome challenges and achieve well-being inspires her every day.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
